While campaigning for Sule in Pune district’s Purandar tehsil, part of the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency, Sharad Pawar also criticized the BJP’s handling of farmers’ issues
Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), stated that if his daughter Supriya Sule wins the election in Baramati, it would mean one less member of Parliament supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
While campaigning for Sule in the Pune district, Pawar criticized the BJP for not addressing farmers’ issues adequately.
Supriya Sule, who has already served three terms as an MP, is competing against Sunetra Pawar, her sister-in-law, in this election.
Sharad Pawar urged voters to support Supriya Sule in the upcoming election on May 7, emphasizing that her victory would reduce Modi’s support in Parliament.
He also mentioned that under the current BJP government, farmers are struggling and advocated for a change to focus more on farmers in policymaking. Pawar claimed that the current government is not providing fair prices to farmers for their crops.
